The 65th annual Mancelona Bass Festival will be held: May 27-31, 2021
The Mancelona Bass Festival will be strictly following all updated Covid 19 safety guidelines issued by the state of Michigan and the local health department. The health, safety, and well being of our guests is of utmost importance to the festival.

2021 Miss Mancelona
Congratulations to our 2021 Miss Mancelona, Kayla Wittkop!! She will be representing Mancelona at festivals and events around northern Michigan over the next year! With her first event being the Mancelona Bass Festival this Saturday! Congratulations, Kayla!!!
Congratulations to the 65th annual Mancelona Bass Festival parade marshals Ed and Judy Sayre!
Ed is currently the fire marshal for the Mancelona Fire District. He has been with the fire district for 38 years, 24 of those years as the fire chief. He was also a teacher for 32 years, 30 of those years at Mancelona High School as the band director. Ed is also a training coordinator for the Michigan Fire Fighter Training Division. Ed is currently an adjunct professor at North Central Michigan college in fire science.
Ed and his wife Judy have lived in Mancelona since 1976. Judy was a fire fighter with Mancelona Fire District for 15 years. She is still involved with the Township Ambulance Authority. She also owned Sayre‘s Catering for many years. Both Ed and Judy are camp caretakers at Mancelona Missionary Church Camp.
Thank you Ed and Judy for all that you have done for Mancelona. And congratulations on becoming this year‘s parade marshals! It is well deserved!
